VI-Visit and How It Works 
 
VIVisit permits you to CONNECT employees, board members, colleagues, customers, or students from any where, at any time.  Bring professional expertise to your staff, mentor new employees, hold small meetings, or demonstrate a new product to customers without travel costs and time away. 
 
Create the connection 
1.) Purchase a membership at www.VI-Business.com, by e-mailing info@VI-Business.com, or call 319.277.3422. 
2.) Schedule a time for your meeting, demonstration, or mentoring session. 
3.) Everyone meets at the video conferencing web site using your member name. 
4.) Remember: only one person needs the membership---then the member invites whoever they want to be their guests. 
 
Begin the video visit 
Member Easy 2-Step Process begins the video visit 
  • Log-in with your member name and password at www.VI-Business.com.  Note: Log-in button is on the bottom of each web page
  • Click-on "Allow video/audio"---you are now live on the web---that simple!

    Guest Easy 2-Step Process to join the video visit---you provide your guest with your Member Name (just like giving them your telephone number) 
  • Guests Log-in with your member name and their name at www.vifamilies.com.  Note: Log-in button is on bottom of each page.
  • Guest clicks on "Allow audio/video"----they are now live to see, hear, and interact.

    Admitting Guests 
  • Once a guest has logged in, the member will receive a notice that there is a guest waiting
  • The member "accepts" the guest.  At that point the guest receives the message to "Allow audio/video."

    NOTE: The log-in process can take place from YOUR website for additional marketing opportunities. 
     
    Participants at the video visit  
    1.) Three parties (computers) can broadcast video and audio simultaneously---see, talk/hear, interact.  Note: there can be many people at each computer. 
    2.) Three additional parties (computers) can be connected---see, hear, and interact through text messaging.  Note: this permits people without cameras to still join you. 
    3.) Parties can “swap places.”  When one of the parties who is broadcasting their video and audio drops their video/audio (they now can still see, hear, and text message), one of the other three who has been watching and text messaging can now broadcast their video/audio.  
     
    Needed components to video visit 
    1.) ANY modern computer connected to the Internet, preferably high speed 
    2.) Camera and microphone/headset to be seen and heard.   
    Remember, even if you do NOT have a camera and microphone you can still see, hear and text message.  
    3.) A VIFamilies membership---only 1 person needs it, everyone else are guests
