Question:   What if I don’t have a video camera?
Reply:   You still can participate in conferences/chats. You will be able to see and hear any other participant that has a camera and microphone. If you have neither, you can communicate back to them through the text chat facility, and if you have a microphone, you can speak to them.

VIFamilies offers adapter kits for most computers that contain web cameras and microphones. Most any web cam will work, but the ones we provide have been tested with our system. Further, if you use our equipment, our HelpDesk will be able to better support you if you do have any problems.

 
Question:   What’s different about VIFamilies video conferencing/chat than those offered by other providers?
Reply:   VIFamilies handles the technology so that you can concentrate on the experience. You don’t have to load or configure any special conferencing software on your system. You just browse or link to the personal web page provided for you, and you’re ready to conference. Your guests have it even easier. They don’t have to join or subscribe to any special service. All they do is browse or link to your web page, and off you go. In addition, we are equipment and Internet Service Provider (ISP) independent – use what you’ve got. We don’t know how to make it any easier.

Question:   Why can’t I pay for my membership monthly?
Reply:   You can, but to do so, we will have to talk to you directly to authorize and set up reoccurring billing. Call or e-mail Info@VIFamilies.com.
 
Question:   How do we schedule conferences?
Reply:   It’s as easy as scheduling a time or just contacting someone and asking them to chat now. Give them or e-mail them the web address of your personal video chat web page and the time you wish to meet. Then both of you can just meet there at the scheduled time.
